La Perla, the 2000s’, a Leap of Luxury
Beautiful, sexy and elegant beyond any imagination, La Perla lingerie and swimwear has been delivering its luxurious styles and collections to women all over the world for many decades. However, the 2000s era is worth special mentioning, since it appears to be very significant for La Perla’s brand and business development by including many turning points, which left famous imprints in La Perla’s history.
After years of research and development, the 2002 has marked the La Perla successful launch of its first Pret-a-Porter collection in Milan. The collection incorporated the most precious fabrics, such as chiffon, silk georgette and exquisite embroideries and included both day and night wear peices, which continued to convey the same message and emotions, as already popular lingerie line.
For years, La Perla’s goal was to perfect the interpretation of desire of fantasy, which finally crystalized in the form of the sexy and chic lingerie line, called “La Perla Black Label”, in 2003. Inspired by the refined and playful sense of the subtle erotic, it included a unique special collection of corsetry and accessories.
In 2008, La Perla unveiled the amazing Limited Edition Collection, where the art of filigree inspired the new line of La Perla’s jewelry lingerie. Utilizing precious metals and trims, the inagural collection is trimmed with 14 carat gold fibers.
Since October 2008, La Perla has been owned by JH Partners, a San Francisco based private equity firm established in 1986 and focused on investments in growth-oriented consumer products and services companies, with a particular emphasis on luxury brands. Under the new ownership, La Perla continues to fascinate its devoted fans by creating its glamorous lingerie and swimwear styles dripping with beauty and luxury.
